“Someone“, first recorded by Major Hoople’s Boarding House in 1980, became a successful Canadian chart record on the Axe Records label. Major Hooples, a legendary club band from southern Ontario, toured for over 20 years from the late 60s to the 80s with the original members, Rocky Howell (lead vocal), Gail Selkirk (keyboards & vocals), Rick Riddell (drums), David Lodge (bass & vocals) and Peter Padalino (guitar & vocals). “Someone” was written by the Hooples’ bassist David Lodge (“You Girl” & “Stand And Sing Ein Prosit”, etc.) and producer Greg Hambleton.
